N-Dodecyl-2-Pyrrolidone
N-Dodecyl-2-Pyrrolidone is a type of pyrrolidone derivative that combines surface activity, solvent function, and penetration-promoting properties. Due to the synergistic effect between the "long-chain dodecyl group" and the "2-pyrrolidone ring" in its molecular structure, it exhibits high adaptability in various fields such as industry, daily life, and medicine.
As a non-ionic surfactant, it can quickly adsorb at oil-water and solid-liquid interfaces, significantly reducing interfacial tension, thereby achieving emulsifying, dispersing, wetting, and spreading effects.

N-Dodecyl-2-Pyrrolidone can dissolve polyvinyl chloride resins that are difficult to dissolve in conventional solvents (such as ethanol), making it suitable for coating and ink processing; it can dissolve oil-soluble vitamins (such as vitamin E) and sunscreens (such as OMC) in cosmetics, preventing product caking and whitening.
