Sodium Stearoyl Glutamate
Sodium Stearoyl Glutamate is a mild, amino acid-based anionic surfactant. It is hailed as 'one of the mildest surfactants' and is becoming increasingly popular in the personal care and cosmetics industry, especially in products that pursue natural, gentle, and environmentally friendly formulations.
The hydrophilic head group part is derived from natural glutamic acid (an amino acid), which is similar to the amino acid composition of the stratum corneum of human skin.
