Polyglyceryl-10 Stearate
Polyglyceryl-10 Stearate is a non-ionic surfactant produced through esterification of hydrophilic polyglycerol-10 and hydrophobic stearic acid. It is a mild, high-safety “green” raw material with emulsifying, solubilizing, and moisturizing functions, which is widely used in cosmetics and personal care products.
It is an efficient O/W (oil-in-water) emulsifier, which can stably mix the oil phase and water phase together to form emulsions, creams, and serums with a uniform and stable texture. It can form a lamellar structure, encapsulate oil droplets, provide long-term spatial stability, and prevent products from stratifying and oil-water separation.
Finally, its polyglycerol long chain has hygroscopic properties, which can help the skin absorb moisture and provide hydration. The stearic acid component forms a protective film on the skin surface, reducing water evaporation while offering a soft and smooth tactile sensation.
