Tetrahydrocurcumin
Product Introduction
Tetrahydrocurcumin is obtained by further hydrogenating curcumin. Tetrahydrocurcumin is a kind of turmeric powder which is the most effective derivate of curcumin.
Tetrahydrocurcumin is also called Tetrahydrocurcuminoids which are phenolic in nature, acting as antioxidants, protecting against free radicals and preventing the generation of free radicals. Unlike yellow curcuminoids, THC is a colorless compound which can therefore be used in color free cosmetic products that currently employ conventional and synthetic antioxidants.

Tetrahydrocurcumin is superior to curcumin in high temperature stability and it is more stable, and also has higher antioxidant activity. its bioavailability is higher than curcumin. As a powerful antioxidant, Tetrahydrocurcumin brightens skin and exerts a whitening effect.
Tetrahydrocurcumin scavenges free radicals and prevents the formation of free radicals. In addition, tetrahydrocurcumin can inhibit the proliferation of free radicals; also it inhibits the oxidation of fat. Therefore, tetrahydrocurcumin can be added as a natural antioxidant to extend the shelf life of cosmetics. Tetrahydrocurcumin has a broad-spectrum anti-inflammatory and antibacterial effect. It can repair skin inflammation and skin damage caused by UVB.
Tetrahydrocurcumin has been shown to efficiently inhibit tyrosinase. As such, it is an effective skin lightening agent with multi functional topical benefits. It's efficacy is surperior to that of commonly used natural skin lightening agents such as Kojic Acid, Alpha Arbutin and of related componds.
